Letter Dice Game- Literacy Center Idea

I love teaching letters to my little kids. They are so many numerous ways in which you can teach them the letter sounds. And games is definitely one great way. I mean, who doesn't love playing games?
So print some dice template from HERE and get ready to rock and roll with your young ones.
I printed the template on A3 construction paper just to make them more sturdy.

Next print the the two set of pictures for letters s,a,t,i,p and n. Stick one set on one dice and the other set on the second dice.

Play the game as a large group for few times. Write the letters on the board. Invite one child to come forward and roll both the dice. let the child look at the pictures, say their names and the letters with which they start.
Let them find the letters on the board and color one box for each letter. Color two boxes if you get pictures with the same letter on both the dice. See which letter wins.

After children have got enough practice as a whole group, move the dice and the sheet in the literacy center and let them have fun while learning letters.

Download the templates for the Letter Dice Game.
